School
Calendar
The school year is ten months total in length, beginning mid August and
concluding the end of June. Summer classes as well as a summer dance
camp are available in July. The school will observe the following
holidays in accordance with Denver Public Schools:
Labor Day;
Thanksgiving break; Christmas Break; Martin Luther King Jr. Day;
Presidents Day; Spring Break; Memorial Day and Independence Day.
Attendance
Dance training must be consistent
if it is to be effective and to prevent injuries. Our curriculum is
designed to carry each student forward, each class.
Students are expected to arrive on time, but no more than 10 minutes
before class and should be picked up immediately after class.
All students are expected to
attend every class in the level that they are assigned.
Students arriving ten minutes late will be asked to observe class and
take notes.
A punctual arrival insures that the entire class time can be productive.
Absences
No refunds
will be given once the class registered for has begun. Please call the
school to report an absence, whether it’s an illness or otherwise. Good
attendance is important January to June as we will be working on
performance pieces.
Make-ups
granted by the Director must be taken within 30 days.
Registration
A registration
form must be filled out for each student before enrolling in classes. A
$25 annual insurance fee will be assessed upon enrollment.
Tuition Rates
Tuition is
based on a ten month cycle from mid-August to June and broken into
monthly payments. Monthly tuition is based on the amount of hours taken
per week. Each monthly payment
is the same,
holidays and
school release days are included, and tuition is not altered for months
with holidays in which less than four opportunities for your class
schedule are available. In months that have five weeks, there is no
increase in the tuition cost.
The extra lessons throughout the
year will make up for the holidays when the school is closed.
Tuition is
pro-rated only for a new student the first month of
enrollment and not given for any other time. All students must register
and pay a $25 non-refundable annual insurance fee. Withdrawal from a
class must be submitted to the Director in writing two weeks in
advance.
Late Fee
A $15 late fee
will be charged to accounts not paid in full by the 10th of
each month. A $30 fee will be assessed on all returned checks. Please
feel free to call anytime concerning your account, if you feel we are in
error, please let us know and we will resolve the matter.
Class Schedule
The schedule
is based on anticipated enrollment and may change at anytime. A class
is subject to cancellation or combination with another level if fewer
than 4 students are registered and paid.
